Tuklas Tinig 2010 Grand Finalist

The Lyceum of the Philippines University(LPU) in Batangas City held today the Grand Finals of the Tuklas-Tinig 2010 at the Freedom Hall of the SHL Building at the LPU Main Campus.  Thirteen LPU students competed for the Tuklas Tinig 2010 Grand Finals.  Carmel Gale Matira of BS in Cruise Line Operations in Culinary Arts(BSCLOCA) is this year’s Tuklas Tinig Grand Champion.

Matira‘s winning piece is “Habang May Buhay“(While There’s Life), composed and originally sang by Wency Cornejo. The other Grand finalist who made it to the top five are:

  • Bill Clinton (BSA) – 1st runner up
  • Kien Mavil Asilo (BSMLS) – 2nd runner up
  • Kenneth Jamandron (BSBA) – 3rd runner up
  • Maebelle Bamba (Pre-Dent) – 4th runner up

This is the 10th edition of Tuklas-Tinig, a yearly singing contest for students that is usually held as part of LPU‘s Foundation Anniversary celebration. Tuklas-Tinig 2010 was organized by Mr. Eric V. Orolfo, Director, Office of Culture and Arts of LPU.
