California Election Results 2012: Sen. Dianne Feinstein Wins Fourth Term Against Elizabeth Emken

U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein won against Republican neophyte Elizabeth Emken to secure her fourth term on the California Senate seat, international news sites reported on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.

According to Huffington Post result, Feinstein got a wide lead of 60.7% of voters against Emken‘s 39.3% on an 81% reporting.

Reports said that Feinstein, 79, was far more popular and better financed than Emken, 49, who was said to be lacking political experience.

Feinstein‘s campaign had raised approximately $14 million through Sept. 30, while Emken only raised about $700,000, campaign records showed.

Feinstein was endorsed by major mainstream newspapers which include Sacramento Bee, San Francisco Chronicle, San Jose Mercury News and Los Angeles Times, reports said.
