According to a post at Bruce Springsteen‘s official website on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, the 19-date 2012 US tour will start on March 18 in Atlanta, Georgia and will end on May 2 in Newark, New Jersey.

Apparently, among the most awaited part of the concert tour are Springsteen‘s performances at the 2012 Jazz Fest in New Orleans on April 29, as well as his European tour from May 13 to July 31, 2012.

The “Wrecking Ball” album will be the 17th studio album for Bruce Springsteen, also known as “The Boss“, with the 62-year old American rocker famous for his “Born in the USA” album back in 1984.

As noted in the press release, “We Take Care Of Our Own” is Wrecking Ball‘s first single, with the album now available for preorder at Amazon and iTunes and has 11 all-new and original songs produced by Bruce Springsteen and Ron Aniello, and Jon Landau as executive producer.

Bruce has dug down as deep as he can to come up with this vision of modern life. The lyrics tell a story you can’t hear anywhere else and the music is his most innovative in recent years.” Jon Landau was quoted on the report.

“The writing is some of the best of his career and both veteran fans and those who are new to Bruce will find much to love on ‘Wrecking Ball‘.” Landau added, who is also Springsteen‘s long time manager.
