According to TMZ on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, the so-called ‘Probate Sale’ court hearing for Britney‘s mansion, which was set for Wednesday, April 24, has been canceled and would now allow other prospective buyers to overbid for the said house.

As noted in the report, Britney‘s conservator and her lawyers asked the judge to cancel the hearing and request was granted, with the house now sold for $4,253,000, which is over $1 million higher than its asking price of $2,995,000.

As reported earlier, the controversial Britney Spears mansion in Beverly Hills went on sale last month with an asking price of $2,995,000, with the price much lower than when it was listed many times, with the last one in March 2010 for $5.495 million.

Based on the timeline by Zillow, Britney Spears bought the 7,453 square foot faux-Tuscan villa for $6.75 million back in January 2007, and tried to sell it in September 2008 for $7.9 million, until it went down to $7.195 million in February 2009, and became $6.5 million in June 2009.

As described at, the two-storey mansion features five bedrooms, six bathrooms, au pair quarters, a chef’s kitchen with updated Viking appliances, a master suite with his and hers baths, fireplace and a private balcony, among others.
