Britney Spears’ ‘Hold It Against Me’ (HIAM) music video was exclusively released at MTV on Thursday, February 17, 2011, at 9:55 p.m. (ET/PT), as shown in the video below*.

As noted at, the Britney Spears ‘Hold It Against Me’ music video was directed by Jonas Akerlund and styled by Jonas’ wife, B. Akerlund, who previously worked with other music artists such as Madonna and Lady Gaga.

This Britney Spears’ much awaited by fans music video had 14 short teaser video clips posted at YouTube, including a 30-second video.

As MTV suggests, the totality of the HIAM music video was futuristic in nature in most parts, while at one point showing some of Britney Spears’ older music videos on TV screens surrounding her.

On one scene, the 29-year old pop princess was said to be seen wearing a towering wedding dress. Then on another one, she is being surrounded by dozens of microphones.

As some spectators are suggesting, this seems to be one of the biggest-budgeted Britney Spears’ music videos and fans were not dismayed after watching the music video.

On the other hand, there are some MTV observers who said that this Britney Spears’ comeback is somehow reminding them of Lady Gaga.

‘Hold It Against Me’ is part of Britney Spears’s latest album ‘Femme Fatale’ which will be released this coming March.
