Black Eyed Peas’ Will.i.am named as Intel’s Director of Creative Innovation (Video)

California, USAWill.i.am, producer and frontman of American hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas, was named as Intel’s director of creative innovation, according to news release by Intel on Tuesday, and videos of the news conference are available below.

As posted at Intel.com, Will.i.am of Black Eyed Peas was chosen to be the company’s director of creative innovation, and will be engaged with Intel Corporation in a multi-year, hands-on creative and technology projects.

Will.i.am, a seven-time Grammy award winner, will work with Intel on many creative and technology endeavors across the ‘compute continuum’, for devices as laptops, smart phones and tablets.

“It’s official. I just became the director of creative innovation for Intel. Every beat I make is made with Intel. And now were partners.” Will.i.am tweets, whose real name is William James Adams Jr.

“Teaming up with the scientists, researchers and computer programmers at Intel to collaborate and co-develop new ways to communicate, create, inform and entertain is going to be amazing.” Will.i.am said on the news conference.

“We’re thrilled to tap into the limitless creativity Will.i.am brings to the table. He’s not only a brilliant artist and producer, but also an innovator pushing the bounds of technology professionally and personally.” Intel vice president and chief marketing officer Deborah Conrad said.

“We share a strong interest in innovation around music, art and lifestyle, and are excited to join forces to establish an authentic, emotional connection with consumers.” Conrad added.

No further details were announced, but Ms. Conrad said that the Intel-Will.i.am partnership is a marriage between two worlds – technology and entertainment; which she claims as the ‘ultimate experience’.
