Bin Laden Counter Strike Map Now Available at Gamebanana

Osama bin Laden‘s hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan is now a playable map for Counter-Strike: Source, several gaming news sites reported on Tuesday.

According to reports, the map was created by GameBanana user Fletch. It was uploaded on the Gamebanana site on May 7, 2011. As of this writing, the map has been downloaded 13,792 times and has an average rating of 8.67/10 based on 19 ratings.

The map is 1.41MB in size and named fy_abbottabad. According to Fletch as mentioned on several reports, the map is a general purpose multiplayer map based on bin Laden‘s mansion. There is no mission to capture bin Laden on the said map.

“What a lot of people don’t seem to understand is that the only thing this map has in common with Osama is location. I can see how people would think it is in bad taste,” Fletch said in the Gamebanana page where he uploaded the map.
