Big Bang Theory record: The 2013 First Episode Has Largest Audience Ever

The initial episode of Big Bang Theory reportedly sets a new record for the biggest audience ever during its initial episode last Thursday, January 3, 2013.

Thursday night’s 123rd episode was entitled, “The Egg Salad Equivalency.”

The CBS‘ comedy series reportedly registered over 19 million viewers. The American television show also matched its best ratings in the adults 18-49 demographic with a 6.0 rating.

Big Bang Theory registered its previous best record of 17.6 million viewers last November 13, 2012. The series was entitled, “The 43 Peculiarity.” It was then followed by “The Parking Spot Escalation” in November 29, 2012 which garnered 17.25 million viewers.

Now on its seventh season, Big Bang Theory is created and produced by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady.
