As noted at TMZ on Saturday night, Beyonce gave birth in New York City via C-section and proud husband Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, was there to support his wife.

According to New York Daily News, a Lenox Hill Hospital staff confirmed that the couple rented hospital’s entire fourth floor for $1.3 million on Friday night, and Beyonce used the name Ingrid Jackson.

Although the couple has yet to issue a formal statement about their baby, the paper noted that hospital workers placed tape on security cameras and even doctors and nurses were not allowed to go to the fourth floor.

“Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih” Rihanna (@rihanna) tweeted about 2 hours ago, as Beyonce was last seen pregnant on Thursday, January 5, holding her baby bump while leaving a building in New York.

On the other hand, friend and music mogul Russel Simmons (@UncleRUSH) tweeted “congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z“, along with a link to a news about Beyonce‘s giving birth.

Beyonce, 30, who announced her pregnancy during 2011 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) event last August 28, was rumored to have given birth last December 30, to a baby girl named Tiana May Carter.
