A multi-year promotional partnership between Pepsi and Beyoncé, estimated to be worth $50 million has been signed after the R&B singer worked with Pepsi for about 10 years, international news sites reported on Monday, December 10, 2012.
According to reports, the multi-million dollar deal includes Beyoncé to be featured in print and in-store ads and her face to be printed on limited-edition Pepsi cans. A new Pepsi commercial featuring her will also be made as part of Pepsi‘s “Live For Now” campaign.
“Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve,” Beyoncé reportedly said in a statement. “As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.”
According to New York Times, the bulk of Beyoncé’s $50 million deal is “for media placements and promotions around the world and the remainder split roughly equally between Beyoncé’s fee and what Pepsi calls a creative content development fund.”
