Best Buy offers free HTC smartphones for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 buyers

Best Buy is offering free HTC smartphones for early buyers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which will run starting Sunday, November 6 to Saturday, November 12, 2011.

According to a press release by Best Buy on their official website last Thursday, customers who will purchase Call of Duty: MW 3 on their stores in that period will be given free HTC smartphones.

These free smartphones will be offered in various options such as Sprint HTC EVO 4G, Verizon DROID Incredible 2 by HTC or AT&T HTC Inspire 4G with Call of Duty Premium Elite membership and a limited edition case. However, this requires signing up for a two-year contract.

Best Buy will start selling Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, in more than 900 stores across the US, in which the first 200 customers in line from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., the night before at 318 selected outlets will receive a ticket for the “Play it Early” access experience.

As noted by Best Buy, these early birds will have a chance to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in “Special Ops” mode at Best Buy’s Magnolia home theater department, which features the latest in high-tech home theater equipment.

In addition, Best Buy will offer Call of Duty ELITE in-store premium membership, which includes Founders status and monthly Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 downloadable content released over 9 months.

Meanwhile, RewardZone Gamers Club members who pre-ordered the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 at are entitled to receive $100 in rewards certificates as part of their “Buy 5 Get $100” program.
