Bangkok Floods: City Gets Ready for More Rains as Thailand Provinces Remain Underwater

Possible Bangkok floods because of more rains have prompted the city to get ready as 28 provinces in Thailand remain underwater. Numerous factories in 33 provinces are also affected. This was disclosed by local Bangkok and Asian news, October 13, 2011.

Reportedly, Bang Kapi, Sukhumvit, and Lat Phrao may be affected if rains continue. To date 28 provinces are underwater. Landslides and flashfloods would be experienced. This is worsened by the high tide period expected on October 13 to 18.

According to further reports, Bhumibol and Pasak Jolasid dams had released water and would be reaching the lower part of the Central area by next week.
