Bagyong Juaning Update and PAGASA Weather Forecast 11 p.m. July 26

Bagyong Juaning or Tropical Storm Juaning was spotted at 70 km North Northwest of Daet, Camarines Norte as of 10 p.m., July 26, 2011, according to the published weather bulletin by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Tropical storm Juaning remains a threat to Southern and Central Luzon together with Metro Manila as it moves in the West Northwest direction at 11 kph with strong winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph, PAGASA said.

PAGASA weather forecast indicates that by Wednesday morning, tropical storm Juaning will make a landfall over Polillo Island going through Central Luzon. It is being expected to be in Dagupan City by Thursday night and estimated at 375 km West Northwest of Laoag City by Friday evening.

Meanwhile, PAGASA raised Public Storm Signal No. 2 in Metro Manila and other areas in Luzon and Bicol region, particularly in Albay. Deped earlier announced that there will be no classes on all levels in Metro Manila, July 27.

The next PAGASA weather bulletin will be released at 5 a.m. July 27.
