Bagyong Falcon (Typhoon Falcon) June 25 Final Update By PAGASA

Tropical Storm Falcon is now at 590 km East Northeast of Basco, Batanes moving at a faster pace of 24 kph in the North Northwest direction with maximum sustained winds of 105 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 135 kph, according to the 5:00 a.m. PAGASA weather forecast today, June 25, 2011.

Typhoon Falcon has gained strength and accelerated as it moves away from the Philippine area of responsibility. However, PAGASA explained that Tropical storm Falcon will still affect the Southwest Monsoon and will bring rains in the Western area of Northern and Central Luzon.

At 8:00 a.m. today, Typhoon Falcon is expected to be at 680 km North Northeast of Basco, Batanes or at 320 km West Northwest of Okinawa, Japan.

PAGASA has recalled all public storm warning signals previously raised in some areas.
