The latest Bagyong Chedeng update or Typhoon Chedeng update by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) was issued in its 5 am bulletin today, May 26, 2011 in its official website.

According to PAGASA, Bagyong Chedeng or Typhoon Chedeng was spotted at 4:00 am this morning at 270 km east Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes with maximum sustained winds of 160 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph. PAGASA forecast Tropical storm Chedeng to head into the northwest direction at 15 kph.

PAGASA weather update said that Bicol Region and Samar Provinces should expect stormy weather while the rest of Eastern Luzon including Masbate, Marinduque, Burias Island, Northern Leyte and Biliran Island will experience rains with gusty winds. Other areas in the country will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
