A baby girl was born inside an elevator of the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Kansas on Friday, as published on several US new sites on Wednesday.

According to reports, a 25-year old mother gave birth to a healthy baby girl inside the elevator of the said hospital while she and her husband were on their way to the delivery room.

Apparently, Crystal Leming was inside the elevator when the baby arrived, while her husband Patrick left her quick and went to the delivery room to ask for assistance.

But when he came back along with some medical staff, they were surprised to see the baby, as the mother politely asked, “Can somebody please catch her head?”

The newborn baby girl weighed 5 pounds and 11 ounces and was named Alyssa Lynn Leming, but her nickname is Ellie, apparently due to her unusual arrival.

She was the first baby of the couple after waiting for four years.
