AT&T to sell Apple iPad directly to businesses on a discount plan

AT&T has plans to sell Apple iPad directly to businesses on a discount plan, as reported on Wall Street Journal on Friday.

According to the news report, AT&T will sell the iPad Wi-Fi and 3G models directly to businesses with a discounted price plan.

While there were no further details mentioned, the discounted wireless plan may be the same as AT&T offered to businesses that bought RIM’s BlackBerry or Apple‘s iPhone for their employees.

In an interview, president of AT&T‘s Advanced Enterprise Mobility Solutions group, Michael Antieri saw quoted as saying that ‘is just the first and this is a great one, but thinks that there will be a lot more to come’.

“Our relationship with businesses and pricing are usually commensurate with the size and the volume of the business they do with us,” Antieri added.

Earlier, it was reported that AT&T revealed the prices of the Apple iPad which will start rolling on their stores on October 28, along with Verizon.
