Missa Bay, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ready Pac Foods, Inc., of Swedesboro, New Jersey announced a voluntary recall of their food products that contain diced or sliced apples, which may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The complete list of the recalled products is available below.

As noted at the official website of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Friday, August 10, 2012, Ready Pac is recalling a total of 293,488 cases and 296,224 individually distributed units of fruit, vegetable, and sandwich products that have apple slices.
According to the report, which is also posted at ReadyPac.com, the affected products were produced and distributed from the Missa Bay facility to retailers and operators in various US states, emphasizing that no illnesses have been reported related to this apple slices recall.
The affected US states are as follows: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee,Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
With this, potential customers are being strongly advised to record the Use-by date and/or UPC code number, and immediately dispose the product, and contact the Ready Pac Consumer Affairs Department, toll-free at (800) 800-7822, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Pacific Time) to get a full refund.
Below is the complete list of the recalled products, along with their respective Use-by date and/or UPC code numbers, with Ready Pac noting that their Customer Service group has already informed all affected customers and is now in the process of confirming that the recalled products are not anymore being sold.
