An Apple event dubbed as “Let’s talk iPhone” will happen on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, with the much-awaited iPhone 5 release being expected.

According to technical news sites on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, Apple released a press invitation to attend a special event on Oct 4 at the Apple‘s headquarters in Cupertino, California.

As shown in the invitation, it is made up of icons from Apple iOS operating system that powers the iPhone and a clock pointing the time at 10:00 (PT), which will be the start of the Apple event.

Earlier rumors revealed that the iPhone 5 release may happen during an Apple event to be held on Oct 4, with Apple CEO Tim Cook to lead the event along with other Apple key personnel.

Interestingly, this will be the first Apple event for Mr. Cook and analysts speculated that former Apple CEO Steve Jobs may be present with a very special participation.

Apparently, iPhone 5 is being assumed to have an 8-megapixel camera for higher resolution photos, and will be thinner and lighter than iPhone 4, and will sport a dual-core A5 chip featured at iPad 2.

In addition, it is being believed that Sprint will release the iPhone 5 and will be available at Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores with with preorders to be available soon.

As of this writing, Apple has never released any formal announcement on iPhone 5 or even about the so-called next generation iPhone.
