Apple iTunes Music Store Sells Two Million Beatles Songs and 450,000 Albums

Since making its songs available on Apple iTunes, the Beatles sold more than 450,000 albums and more than two million songs in just a span of one week, according to international sites.

Based on the report by Billboard, “Abbey Road” has been the best-selling album in the United States while “Here Comes the Sun” is the best-selling song. iTunes top 100 best-selling singles includes “Here Comes the Sun” in 54th place as of Tuesday. “Let It Be” followed at the 60th position, “In My Life” comes in as 74th, “Come Together” at 90th and “Blackbird” at number 97th.

In the iTunes top 50 best-selling albums “Abbey Road” is 17th on the list while “White Album” followed at the 25th, “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” is 27th. Coming in at the 30th place is the Beatles’ “The Beatles 1967-1970” album, “The Beatles 1962-1966” at number 40, “Beatles Box Set” at number 42 and “Rubber Soul” at number 43.

In November 16, 2010, Apple‘s iTunes started selling Beatles‘ music.
