Apple is now being reported to possibly launch iPhone 5 either this coming August or September, and will not be just an upgraded version of iPhone 4.

As noted at Boy Genuis Report (BGR) on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, “it had independently confirmed that Apple iPhone 5 will not merely be an upgraded iPhone 4“.

Apparently, a reliable source told them that the public can expect a radical new case design for the iPhone 5 which may possibly be launched this August or September in an Apple event.

Although BGR said that no other details were revealed, it said that Apple iPhone 5 is being expected to run on its new powerful dual-core A5 processor and will have a 4-inch screen, bigger than iPhone 4.

Last April, a report from ThisIsMyNext.com released an image of what iPhone 5 would possibly look like based from variety of their sources.

According to its report, iPhone 5 will look “more like the iPod touch than the iPhone 4” and will be thinner as well; and would feature a new teardrop-shaped case design.

Nevertheless, spreading rumors said that iPhone 5 will also have improved antenna, an 8-megapixel camera and will have an aluminum backing of the original iPhone instead of the glass casing.
