Apple released iOS 6.1 on Monday, January 28, 2013 that reportedly features several key improvements and bug fixes on its operating system designed for its mobile devices that include iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

The latest Apple update is reportedly the first major enhancement to iOS 6 after five beta test updates since its official launch last September 2012.
Among the key features of iOS 6.1 include the following:
4G LTE support for 36 additional iPhone carriers and 23 more for the iPad
US iPhone users can now purchase movie tickets through Fandango with Siri
iTunes Match subscribers can download individual songs to from iCloud
Advertising Identifier can be reset using a new button

In a press release statement by Philip Schiller, Apple‘s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, he explained that:
iOS 6 is the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, and with nearly 300 million iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices on iOS 6 in just five months, it may be the most popular new version of an OS in history.
iOS 6.1 brings LTE support to more markets around the world, so even more users can enjoy ultrafast Safari browsing, FaceTime video calls, iCloud services, and iTunes and App Store downloads.
iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users can download the latest iOS 6 update by activating the Software Update in the Settings menu of their mobile devices. iOS 6.1 reportedly requires at least 1 GB of storage space.
