Apple Inc. iPad 2 Sales In Hong Kong And Other Asian Countries To Widen Revenue Gap With Competitors

Apple Inc. continues to dominate the technology market as it offers the new iPad 2 in its stores in Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore and other Asian countries on Friday, April 29, 2011, according to reports by several international sites.

Business reports say, that Apple is now considered as the second most valuable company in the world, next only to Exxon Mobil Corp.

On April 20, 2011, Apple reported a net income of $5.99 billion during the period of January to March.

Apple reportedly shipped a record of 18.65 million units of iPhone during the first quarter of the year.

Microsoft was edged out by Apple as the world’s most valuable technology company in 2010. Apple has already surpassed Microsoft in terms of quarterly revenue and net income during the first quarter of the year.

Strong sales of iPad 2 is expected to bring in more revenues for Apple this year.
