Apple announces iTunes 10.1 software update now available, iOS 4.2 slightly delayed?

Apple announced that its latest software update, iTunes 10.1, is now available, while iOS 4.2 was said to have been slightly delayed, according to Mac Stories on Friday.

As posted at the Apple Apps store today, there were three new capabilities in their latest update of iTunes.

iTunes 10.1 users can use AirPlay, which was said to be the much-anticipated feature for streaming media from iTunes instantly to the all-new Apple TV and other devices.

This latest software update also features multitasking, wireless printing, and security enhancements, Apple said.

And while iTunes 10.1 also supports syncing an Apple iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad with iOS 4.2, Apple said it provides a number of unspecified important stability and performance improvements.

Among other products that iTunes 10.1 can be used for include Mac OS X Server 10.4, Mac OS X 10.4, Product Security, Mac OS X Server 10.5, Mac OS X 10.5, Mac OS X 10.6, Mac OS X Server 10.6, QuickTime 7, Safari and AirPort.

The iTunes 10.1 can be downloaded directly anytime from iTunes download page or its support page.

But for iOS 4.2 which was earlier reported to be available this November, Mac Stories announced that according to their very reliable source, iOS 4.2 will not be available on November 12.

There was said to have had a ‘last-minute WiFi connection issues’ experienced by many users running the GM build on the iPad.
