Cupertino City Council got a special visit from Apple CEO Steve Jobs as he made a presentation about the company’s plan to build a state-of-the-art headquarters at Cupertino, as reported in several US news sites, June 8, 2011.

Related reports claim that the architectural plans are striking as the design resembles that of a ‘spaceship’ and that 12,000 people can be accommodated in the proposed four-story building that has another four levels of parking underneath.

“It’s a little like a spaceship landed,” Jobs reportedly said. “It’s got this gorgeous courtyard in the middle, but a lot more,” he adds.

Jobs was further quoted saying, “I think we do have a shot at building the best office building in the world.”

Apparently, similar reports attest that the proposed building site at Pruneridge Avenue and Wolfe Road was previously owned by another computer giant, Hewlett-Packard.
