Animal Kingdom won 10 Australian Film Institute awards (AFI 2010)

The film Animal Kingdom won 10 Australian Film Institute (AFI) 2010 awards, including the Best Film for 2010, as published on different Australian news on Saturday.

Animal Kingdom is a crime thriller-drama film that tells a story about a family in Melbourne and their relationship with each other and the police, written and directed by David Michod.

The film, which earlier won at the Sundance Film Festival and received the Jury Prize for Best World Cinema, was nominated for 18 AFI awards.

According to Wikipedia, Animal Kingdom is the third highest grossing film in Australia for 2010 and made AU$5.2 million as of September 22, and another $949,432 in North America.
