Amir Khan lost his WBA and IBF light-welterweight titles to Lamont Peterson in Washington DC, December 10, 2011 as reported by BBC Sports news, December 11, 2011.

At 17, Amir Khan has been the youngest British Olympic Boxing silver medalist in 2004 in Athens. At 22, he was one of the youngest British world boxing champions for his WBA world title.

Reportedly, Khan has trained under Freddie Roach, Manny Pacman Pacquiao’s trainer, and had allegedly given unflattering comments about Pacman’s fight against Juan Manuel Marquez.

Khan said later that he was misunderstood and that he admires Pacquiao.

Khan, who was the pre-fight favorite have lost due to a 2-point deduction with the scores: 113-112, 113-112, 111-114 in favor of Lamont Peterson.
