As featured at Fox on Thursday night, Skylar Laine was voted out from the show while both Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet not landing in the Bottom 2.

On Wednesday night, the remaining American Idol Season 11 Top 5 finalists sang two songs each; one from the 60s and the other is a British song, with Phillip Phillips and Joshua Ledet making a duet while Skylar Laine, Hollie Cavanagh, and Jessica Sanchez performing as a trio.

That night, Jessica did not receive a lot of praises from the judges when she sang “Proud Mary” but made a comeback after she sang “You Are So Beautiful”; while Joshua received a standing ovation after he sang “To Love Somebody”.

Meanwhile, Joshua was the first finalist to be called on stage on Thursday night and was announced as safe. After rock band Coldplay performed their latest single “Paradise”, Hollie and Phillip were called on stage and Phillip was announced as safe and Hollie landed on the Bottom 2.

Later, Skylar and Jessica were called on stage after the performance of Carrie Underwood, with Skylar joining Hollie at the Bottom 2 while Jessica was announced as safe. Eventually, Skylar Laine was announced as the eliminated finalist that night.
