Erika Van Pelt got eliminated during American Idol 2012 Top 10 elimination night on Thursday, March 22, 2012, after receiving the least number of votes and the judges decided not to ‘save’ her.

As featured at Fox on Thursday night, Erika Van Pelt, who sang “New York State of Mind” last Wednesday during the American Idol 2012 Top 10 performance night, was sent home.

As reported earlier, the show’s Top 10 finalists made their own version of Billy Joel‘s hit songs, where Jessica Sanchez sang “Everybody Has a Dream” and received a standing ovation from the judges and audience as well.

Apparently, Ryan Seacrest announced that Erika Van Pelt was joined Heejun Han and DeAndre Brackensick in the Bottom 3 but the host later revealed that the two are safe.

Meanwhile, American Idol Season 10 finalist Haley Reinhart was the special guest that night performed her new single “Free”, along with Lana Del Rey whose taped performance of her song “Video Games” was aired which was supposed to be last Thursday.
