The American Idol 2011 Finale featured Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina as they performed at the Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater, May 24, 2011, as reported by various entertainment sites.

Scotty McCreery sang “Gone,” “Check Yes or No,” and “I Love You This Big,” while Lauren Alaina sang “Flat on the Floor,” “Maybe it was Memphis,” and “Like my Mother Does.”

Both teens, Scotty McCreery, 17 and Lauren Alaina, 16, and both country singers, have received kudos from the judges. The American Idol season 10 judges, Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson and Jennifer Lopez applauded Alaina for her second and last song and McCreery for his first song.
