Chris Medina, a 26-year old barista from Oak Forest, Illinois, near Chicago, auditioned for American Idol Season 10, wore a chain around his neck with the engagement ring she gave to Juliana Ramos back in 2008.

In October 2009, Juliana had an car mishap that caused her to have a brain injury and partly paralyzed. But Chris did not leave her, and take care of her instead, along with Juliana’s mother.

“What kind of guy would I be if I walked out when she needed the most?” Chris Medina said, who sang ‘Breakeven‘ by The Script, as shown in the video below.

After he sang, the judges which includes Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler, requested Chris to bring Juliana in front of them, and the Aerosmith singer told Juliana that Chris performed well because of her.

Medina, who was the last contestant for that episode, later got a ‘yes’ from the three judges, and went advance for the American Idol 2011 talent show.

Incidentally, Chris also made a song for Juliana back in 2009 entitled ‘What Has Become of Me’, and should be their 1st wedding anniversary, and a video with lyrics is also available below.
