Amazon Cloud Player offers unlimited music space for limited time

Amazon announced on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 that Cloud Player users can now enjoy an unlimited music space for at no additional cost for a limited time to its paid plans.

As noted at Amazon.com, an unlimited space for music will be added to Cloud Drive and Cloud Player customers who will purchase any Amazon Cloud Drive storage plan.

Unlike before, Amazon only provides 5 GB of free Cloud Drive storage but can be expanded to 20GB with the purchase of an MP3 album at the Amazon Music Store.

Now for a limited time, Amazon customers who will purchase the Cloud Drive storage plan worth $20 a year will receive unlimited space for their MP3 and AAC (.m4a) music files.

However, Amazon did not specify how long the mentioned limited time is, with the offered free unlimited storage being only applicable to music files.

At the same time, Amazon also launched the Cloud Player app for Apple iPad in addition for the previously available app for Android smartphones and tablets, Mac and PC.

While iPad users can now enjoy free music online through the Cloud Player server, Amazon had no announcement of the same feature for other iOS devices such as iPods and iPhones.
