Albert Chretien and wife Rita went missing on their way to Las Vegas since March 22, 2011, according to reports by several international news sites.

On Friday, May 6, 2011, Rita Chretien has been found in an isolated area in the northeastern part of Nevada.

The 56-year-old Rita was found alive by hunters in Elko Country, Nevada near the Idaho border. Her 59-year-old Canadian husband, Albert, remains missing as he tried to seek for help on foot using a GPS device.

Rita survived for 45 days by just drinking water and eating the snacks they brought for their road trip. She is now being treated at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. Based on doctor’s medical reports, Rita is already in fair condition.

Poor weather condition forced rescuers to end their search for Albert Chretien on Sunday.
