An Alaska storm, considered to be the worst for the US state, is expected by the National Weather Service (NWS) to bring strong winds with gutsiness of up to 100 miles per hour, heavy snowfall and widespread flooding, according to reports by several international news sites on Wednesday, November 9, 2011.

Reports say that the Alaska storm is moving inland from the Aleutian islands. According to an NWS special warning message, “This will be an extremely dangerous and life threatening storm of an epic magnitude rarely experienced.”

Lead forecaster Andy Brown of the NWS said that Nome and the rest of the Seward Peninsula, are expected to be the most affected areas.
