MILFORD, Connecticut – A mountain lion reportedly struck by an SUV car on early Saturday, June 11, 2011 did not survive from its injuries, international news reported.

It was said that the mountain lion was hit on Route 15 in Milford and was believed to be the mysterious animal spotted on the Brunswick School campus in northwest Greenwich a week ago.

According to reports, a 2006 Hyundai Tucson SUV was traveling around 1 a.m. in the left lane next in the area of Exit 55 of Route 15 when the collision happened. Sigred Lacson, 40, the driver of the SUV car was unharmed.

Meanwhile, the mountain lion was said to be a 140-pound male cat and was likely a victim of the exotic pet trade. His body and other specimens were being examined if it is the same cat that was seen in Greenwich.
