Experts reportedly believed that Macan will be powered by a 2.0 and 3.0 liter gasoline and diesel engines. A Macan Turbo S may also be in the works according to analysts.

Porsche explained that Macan‘s animal roots of “suppleness, power, fascination and dynamics” characterizes the new SUV model.

The announcement of Macan, observers believed, maybe a head-on collision to the larger Maserati Kubang SUV, introduced late last year.

Maserati derived Kubang from the name of a wind that blows through Java, Indonesia.
