4G Network Outage Cause Determined, Verizon Wireless Working To Fix It

Verizon Wireless is experiencing 3G and 4G LTE network outage, several technology news sites reported today.

The outage was said to be the first known outage since the launching of Verizon‘s 4G LTE network last December.

At 4:15 ET, PC Mag reported that a Verizon spokesman said that the company already determined the cause and currently working to fix it.

According to the latest update from PC Mag, the following can be experienced:

  • Customers are temporarily unable to activate any 4G LTE devices.
  • 4G LTE smartphones will still be able to make calls.
  • Customers may experience 1XRTT data connection during this time.
  • Network is expected to be restored on a market-by-market basis.
