4G iPad price: Apple releases new iPad 4G LTE pricing list for AT&T and Verizon

Apple revealed the 4G LTE price list for its new iPad for AT&T and Verizon in the US, with the so-called 4G iPad was unveiled by Apple CEO Tim Cook yesterday, March 7 in a press event in California, along with its first TV ad video.

According to Apple on its official website on Thursday, March 8, 2012, the new iPad will work on 4G LTE networks from AT&T and Verizon, which starts at 250 MB for $14.99 and 1GB for $20, respectively.

For AT&T users, a 3GB option will be available for $30 a month while the 5GB option will cost $50 monthly; while Verizon customers have the options of 2GB for $30 or 5GB for $50, with some analysts noting the price may a problem to users of the new iPad.

4G LTE network connectivity is a better fit for a larger device, such as the iPad, where there is a richer Web experience. But the pricing of the device and the services will continue to be an issue for consumers.” NPD Group analyst Ross Rubin was quoted telling to CNET.com.

As reported earlier, Apple said that the new iPad will be on sale starting next Friday, March 16 but pre-orders are now being accepted, revealing its specs which includes having a Retina Display with a 2048×1536 pixel resolution.

In addition, the 4G iPad sports the new quad-core A5X chip processor, an iSight 5-megapixel camera, 1080p video recording with image stabilization; and features a voice dictation feature, which can be used via a microphone button on the iPad‘s virtual keyboard.

Meanwhile, the new iPad will cost at $499 for 16GB, $599 for 32GB, and $699 for 64GB, all for Wi-Fi version; and will start at $629 for 16GB for the Wi-Fi + 4G version, or $130 more expensive than the Wi-Fi only connection.
