A $300K in gold dust found by workers of a California heating, ventilation and air conditioning company was reportedly turned over to its rightful owner, according to reports by several news sites on Black Friday, November 23, 2012.
About 12 baby food jars filled with gold dust was reportedly found by Steve Ottley and his partner in Clark & Rush company, while doing an HVAC installation in a house in Sacramento last September.
Ottley explained that he “still can’t believe it today. It’s unreal. We kind of just looked at each other and said – ‘Wow!‘.”
This is not the first time that a Clark & Rush company found gold while doing an HVAC installation.
In the 1980s, the company workers also found about $25,000 worth of gold coins in an old vent of a house.
Mark Thyne of Clark & Rush said that finding gold inside the vent of any house is “one promise we can’t make, but I can say this, the integrity and professionalism of Clark & Rush, every time we find this type of thing, we are always trustworthy and upfront.”
