As noted in a press release at TacoBell.com that day, the 2013 Taco Bell Super Bowl ad titled “Viva Young” features an 87 year-old Bernie Goldblatt, who escaped from the Glencobrooke Retirement Home, and joined his old friends in an “epic night they will never forget.” Taco Bell‘s new catchphrase is “Live Mas.”

“By releasing “Viva Young” online before the Super Bowl, we’re rewarding our biggest fans and bringing them inside the brand.” Brian Niccol, Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer, Taco Bell Corp., was quoted in the report. This latest Taco Bell Super Bowl commercial was created by Deutsch LA.

“We want to share the spot with our Team Members, franchisees, and online fans first so they’re in the know before Super Bowl Sunday, so we can engage with them in social and digital spaces.” Niccol added, with Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed telling to CBS This Morning that the famous restaurant chain turned 50 last year.

As shown the video, Bernie Goldblatt seemed to be about to go to sleep but immediately got off from his bed when the lights went off. He escaped from the retirement home and met with his old friends outside, who were waiting for him inside a car. Later, they took a dip in someone else’s swimming pool.

Then they stopped in a dance club and danced along with people younger than them. A young man was even seen with a lipstick on his cheek, after he went outside from the bar with a much older woman. The group also dropped by on a tattoo parlor, where Goldblatt had his tattoo.

Shortly after, they went to a Taco Bell for Fourthmeal, and a police car noticed them but did not mind them at all. Goldblatt and his friends can be seen eating their meal and enjoying their bonding moments outside their car, before heading back to the Glencobrooke Retirement Home.
