2013 Ford Mustang models were shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2011 on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Three Mustang models on display at the LA Auto Show include the standard Mustang GT, Mustang Boss 302, and the popular Shelby GT 500 has been put on display with noticeable changes from previous models.

The latest 2013 Mustang models are reportedly on a head-on competition with Chevrolet and Chrysler in the muscle-car category.

Ford Mustang 2013 models belong to the fifth generation of Mustangs that started manufacturing in 2005.

Among the reported changes in the 2013 Ford Mustang models of standard Mustang GT are the bigger grille, sleeker hood design, high-intensity discharge LED that lights up two horizontal LED light bars which runs outward from the headlights.

The standard Mustang GT still sports a 5.0-litre engine, but with the introduction of the V8, it can now have a power boost of up to 420 hp. Another new feature includes Ford‘s Select Shift Automatic transmission to allow drivers to shift gears with automatic transmission.

A 4.2-inch LCD screen has been installed to monitor the car’s performance such as braking, acceleration, lap time and g-force.

The new yellow colored Mustang Boss 302‘s only reported upgrade is on its engine that can deliver up to 444hp.

Shelby GT 500 2013 Ford Model now comes with a 5.8-liter V8 engine that boost up to 650hp with 600 lb-ft of torque. The car has now a top speed of 200 mph. The cooling system of Shelby GT 500 has also been upgraded.

The Los Angeles Auto Show 2011 will be open to the public on Friday, November 18.
