As noted at TMZ that night, the 2012 pre-Grammy Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel was not canceled despite the death of Whitney Houston, who was supposed to open the said event.

As reported earlier, a source at JustJared.com was quoted saying that the event will not push through after Whitney Houston was found dead in a room on the fourth floor of the said hotel.

Nevertheless, the same report changed their post and announced that Clive Davis’ 2012 pre-Grammy Party will continue despite the loss of the “I Always Love You” singer.

Clive Davis discovered Houston as a young singer and later signed her to Arista Records, which later the American singer won six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, and 22 American Music Awards; and has sold over 170 million albums, singles and videos worldwide.

As of this writing, the cause of Houston‘s death is not yet known and the singer is now being remembered for her great talent in singing and her role at the 1992 box-office hit “The Bodyguard” opposite Kevin Costner; as the phrase “RIP Whitney Houston” continues to trend at Twitter.
