The Chicago Bulls will be making their 2012 NBA Playoffs run without guard MVP Derrick Rose. An NBA.com report said that Rose will be out of the 2012 post season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.

Rose injured his left knee with about 1:20 left in the game. He crumbled to the ground after jumping and making a pass to his teammate during their first round playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, April 28.

The MVP scored 23 points before he was helped off the court and the Bulls leading by 12. Chicago won their first game of the first round series against Philadelphia, 103-91.

Rose has already missed 27 games during the regular season because of injuries.

Reports say that Rose was taken to the hospital and MRI results confirmed the season ending injury of the MVP.
