2012 NBA All-Star Game: Kobe Bryant nose injury to be checked by doctors, after Dwayne Wade foul (Video)

As reported earlier, Western Conference won the 2012 NBA All-Star game (152-149) against the Eastern Conference in Orlando, Florida, with Kevin Durant making 36 points and won the MVP award.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles Lakers said on their official website on Monday that “results of a CT scan revealed that Bryant suffered a nasal fracture”, with the NBA superstar failing to attend the post-game press conference.

“It is expected that Bryant will be examined and re-evaluated by ear, nose and throat specialist Dr. John Rehm on Monday when he returns to Los Angeles.” The statement added.

Apparently, Dwayne Wade, who played for the Eastern Conference had a hard foul that hit the nose of Kobe Bryant of the Western Conference during the third quarter of the 2012 NBA All-Star Game.

“Yeah, I obviously didn’t try to draw no blood, but I took a foul. Kobe fouled me two times in a row, so he’s still got one up on me.” Dwayne Wade was quoted telling to reporters after the game.

“But I’m glad that everything was cool and we got back to being competitive and having fun.” Wade added, who finished the game with 24 points and 10 assists, while Bryant made 27 points.

Meanwhile, Kobe Bryant now has a total 271 points for his NBA All-Star career, surpassing Michael Jordan‘s record of 262 points; and also earlier passed Oscar Robertson (246 points) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (251).
