2012 Billboard Music Awards winners revealed, led by Adele and LMFAO (Complete List)

Adele and duo group LMFAO led the names of 2012 Billboard Music Awards winners as announced on Sunday, May 20, 2012, which was held at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, with the complete list of winners available below.

As featured at ABC on Sunday night, the 2012 Billboard Music Awards was hosted by Modern Family‘s Ty Burell and Julie Bowen, and also gave tribute to late singers Whitney Houston, Beastie Boy‘s Adam Yauch, Disco Queen Donna Summer, and Robin Gibb, who passed away that day.

Adele, who was not present that night, led the 2012 BBMA nominations with 18 and won 12 of them including Top Artist, Top Female Artist Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Pop Album, for “21,” and Top Alternative Song, for “Rolling in the Deep.”

On the other hand, LMFAO, composed of SkyBlu and Red Foo, who had 17 nominations, won six of them including Hot 100 Song of the Year award for their “Party Rock Anthem” and the Top Duo or Group of the Year award, with Coldplay and Lil Wayne winning four awards each.

Among the early winners that night include Justin Bieber, who won the Top Social Artist award, and Katy Perry, who accepted the Spotlight Award and was presented to her by Lisa Marie Presley, with Perry saying that she was the second entertainer to receive that award, next to Michael Jackson.

Among the top performers that night were LMFAO, who opened the show and sang their “Party Rock Anthem”, Justin Bieber, who performed his latest single “Boyfriend”, as well as Usher, Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, Chris Brown, CeeLo Green, and many more.

Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina Brown and Pat Houston accepted the Billboard‘s Millennium Award for Whitney Houston. On the last part of the show, Alicia Keys performed with Stevie Wonder, who received the Billboard Music Icon Award.
