2011 Banished Words List From Lake Superior State University Released

According to its official website, “viral” tops Lake Superior State University‘s 36th annual List of Words Banished from the Queen’s English for Mis-use, Over-use and General Uselessness which was released on New Year’s Eve. “Viral” got the most number of nominations.

This year’s list includes words pertaining to Sarah Palin, phrases and words related to technology and some old phrases and sayings.
