New York City November 30, 2010, the most awaited Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be witnessed by New Yorkers and tourists in the New York City Rockefeller Center.

This year’s tree is a 74-foot Norway spruce donated by a New York City firefighter Peter Acton in Mahopac, New York. The 2010 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree was erected in New York‘s Rockefeller Plaza, on Friday, November 12, 2010.

Reports said that the Rockefeller Christmas Tree was wrapped in 30,000 LED lights and crowned with a 550-pound Swarovski crystal star. The Rockefeller Christmas Tree will be officially lit on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. U.S. date and time.

According to international reports, the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will feature live and taped performances by different known celebrities such as Josh Groban, Jessica Simpson, Sheryl Crow, British singer Katherine Jenkins and teen pop star Charice Pempengco.
