Manila, Philippines – Filipinos have now their own Buy and Sell jobs online marketplace called 199Jobs, which aims to connect buyers and sellers of jobs that start at P199 (around $4) only. 199Jobs.com was launched in November 2012, and was founded by two local entrepreneurs, Glenn Santos and Fitz Villafuerte.

“We believe that each individual can use their creativity to earn money online, whether to make a bit of extra on the side or turn it into something that supports their entire family. We’re here to support their income earning goals every step of the way.” A statement reads on 199Jobs.com press release.

Interestingly, the available jobs at 199Jobs.com include Administrative work, Advertising, Consultation Graphic Design, Marketing, Photography, Programming, Research, Writing, and many more. The payment can be made via Paypal, BPI, Globe GCash, Visa Mastercard, and other major credit cards and establishments.

For both buyers and sellers, all they have to do is to register at 199Jobs.com and post the tasks or jobs in the site. However, it will be useful if the profile pages have detailed information, especially for sellers, as it will help build their credibility. 199Jobs will be the one doing the money management.

“We’ve been working online for several years now and one of the top challenges we’ve had is getting started – it’s easy if you have something to sell – but how about if you’re offering a service, where can you market yourself?” Fitz Villafuerte exclusively told this writer.

“That’s how the idea of putting up 199Jobs.com came about. We want to help make it easier for fellow Pinoys to share and market their skills so they can start earning online.” Villafuerte added, who is also known for his own business, investments, and personal finance blog, FitzVillafuerte.com (Ready To Be Rich).

For the protection and security of the money involved, Fitz says buyers need to pay first before they start the work and 199Jobs will only release it to the seller after the buyer has confirmed that the work has been properly delivered and with the highest quality being expected. Privacy of sellers is also being protected.

With Filipinos now can be seen working abroad in almost anywhere in the world, 199jobs seems to be a promising avenue in providing more jobs without leaving the country.
