According to UTSanDiego.com on Friday, Cynthia Sigler of Vista gave birth to a baby boy named Jayden Sigler weighing 13 pounds, 14 ounces at Tri-City Medical Center, Oceanside, California.

As noted in the report, Cynthia said she know she was to give birth a baby boy but was surprised to know that it was that big, noting that she now realized why she feels uncomfortable towards the end of her pregnancy.

“So, we took a picture of the scale and sent it to her,” Sigler was quoted in report, referring to her sister who told her she could not believe her nephew will be weighing that heavy.

“He’s the largest baby I’ve ever delivered,” Sigler‘s obstetrician Dr. Jerald White reportedly said; adding that he has delivered 20,000 babies since 1964 when he started practicing medicine.

Apparently, baby Jayden will not be holding a record for the heaviest newborn baby since the Guinness Book of World Records currently lists the biggest baby as 23 pounds and 12 ounces, born to Anna Bates of Canada in 1879.

Back in January, a baby boy named Asher Stewardson was reportedly born at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, and weighed about 13 pounds, 13 ounces and measured 23 inches long.

Nevertheless, Cynthia noted that it does not matter since it was enough to know that her son is healthy, who is responding with massive yawns and a couple of gurgles, and being assumed to be allowed go home with his mother this Sunday.
