As noted at Las Vegas Sun on Wednesday, at least 3,500 couples applied for marriage licenses in Clark County and have chosen November 11, 2011 (11/11/11) as their wedding day.

Couples were said to be coming from various countries including Great Britain, Canada, Hungary, French Polynesia and Singapore, and some of them will be married at the Chapel of the Flowers that day.

“We’re juggling three weddings at exactly 11:11 a.m. and another three at 11:11 p.m. We have five ministers who have been officiating at our chapel for several years.” Marketing Director Aimee Stephens told the paper.

“We have a specialty package that was created just for this date — the 11-11-11 Ceremony Special includes a bouquet that’s a mix of 11 roses and 11 calla lilies.” Stephens added.

“We have a special 11-11-11 logo created to go on the couple’s 11″x14″ photo print, 11 additional prints come with the package, and their wedding will be online for Internet viewing for 11 days.” She explained further.

The first wedding ceremony is being set for 8 a.m., and they will run nonstop for 15 hours in three chapels until 11:11 p.m., in which a total of 80 weddings will be held that day in their chapels alone.

Meanwhile, Las Vegas nightlife queen Tiffany Masters was said to be throwing the world’s largest wedding reception at Tropicana that day, to mark the extraordinary calendar date; 11-11-11.

“All the research tells us that there will be some 75,000 weddings on Friday across America. Over 4 percent will be in Las Vegas!” Masters was quoted at Las Vegas Weekly early this week.

“The Vegas wedding chapels are expecting up to 3,500 weddings. Every wedding chapel in town is sold out. One Elvis Presley minister has 160 ceremonies booked alone at an average of 2 min 40 sec from dawn to dusk and right up to midnight.” Masters added.
